Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, sell, rent, or share personal information for advertising or tracking.

SFCE Learning app does not collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or address
• Precise or coarse location
• Contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data
• Advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID)
• Analytics events or telemetry
• Crash reports sent to our own servers
• Browsing history from the in-app browser

The app does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or social tracking SDKs.

Study Progress

SFCE Learning app stores your study progress so the app can show completed references, progress indicators, and your last-read location.

This information may include:

• Symfony version selected for study progress
• Completed reference identifiers
• Completion timestamps stored locally by the app
• Last-read topic and chapter identifiers

This data is stored on your device using standard Android storage technologies such as a Room (SQLite) database and DataStore Preferences. It is used only to provide app functionality.

Cross-Device Backup

If you have Android Auto Backup enabled for the app on your device, your study progress may be backed up to your Google Drive backup account by the Android operating system. This allows your progress to be restored when you reinstall the app or set up a new device.

The backed-up data is limited to the app's local study progress (such as completion state by Symfony version and reference identifier) and lightweight app preferences. SFCE Learning app does not back up your name, email address, or other contact information.

Android Auto Backup is provided by Google and the Android platform. We do not operate a server for this data and do not have access to the contents of your Google Drive backup. You can manage app backup and Google Drive backup settings on your device in the system settings.

Calendar Integration

SFCE Learning app can create study sessions in your calendar when you choose the "Add to Calendar" action.

When you use this feature, the app hands off to your system Calendar app using a standard Android calendar intent. You confirm and save the event inside your Calendar app; SFCE Learning app does not need the runtime calendar permission and does not read your existing calendar entries. Calendar events suggested by SFCE Learning app may include:

• A study title based on the selected chapter or reference
• A suggested start and end time
• Reference links or notes when relevant

SFCE Learning app uses this calendar hand-off only to pre-fill the events you choose to create. The app does not upload your calendar data to us.

Study Reminders

SFCE Learning app can schedule local study reminders when you choose the "Add Reminder" action.

Reminders are delivered as local notifications scheduled on your device using the Android AlarmManager and shown by the system NotificationManager. On Android 13 and newer, the app asks for the system notification permission so it can display these reminders. Local reminders created by SFCE Learning app may include:

• A study reminder title based on the selected chapter or reference
• Notes or reference links when relevant
• A scheduled time that you choose

Reminders are scheduled and stored locally on your device. SFCE Learning app does not upload reminder content to us, and reminders are not sent through any remote push notification service.

In-App Browser and External Reference Links

SFCE Learning app includes reference links to external documentation and websites. When you open a reference link, the page may open in an Android Custom Tab (powered by your default browser, such as Chrome) or, when Custom Tabs are unavailable, in an in-app WebView.

External websites are not operated by SFCE Learning app. Those websites may receive standard web request information, such as your IP address, browser information, cookies, or other data depending on their own privacy practices. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies.

SFCE Learning app does not collect or store your in-app browsing history.

Purchases

If the app offers a purchase, such as a quiz unlock, the purchase flow is handled by Google through Google Play using the Google Play Billing Library.

SFCE Learning app may check Google Play-provided purchase entitlement status to unlock purchased functionality. We do not receive or store your payment card details or Google Play payment information.

Google's handling of purchase, billing, and Google Account information is governed by Google's own privacy policy and Google Play terms.

Content Ownership Notice

SFCE Learning app includes original study content, including quiz questions, answer options, and related quiz material. This content is provided for personal study use within the app.

You may not copy, scrape, reproduce, republish, redistribute, sell, or use the app's quiz question and answer database to create another product or dataset without written permission from the developer.

This notice does not claim ownership of Symfony, PHP, public technical facts, official documentation, or general programming concepts. Some simple questions or answers may naturally resemble common technical explanations or publicly known facts. The restriction applies to the app's authored selection, wording, structure, and quiz database as a whole.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Data may be processed by Google and Android platform services when you use system features such as Android Auto Backup, the Calendar app, system notifications, Google Play Billing, Android Custom Tabs, WebView, or Google Play. These services are provided by Google and the Android platform and are subject to Google's privacy practices.

Data Retention and Deletion

Study progress remains on your device unless you delete it, uninstall the app, clear the app's data through Android system settings, or sign out of the device.

Auto Backup data remains in your Google Drive backup account according to Android's backup behavior and your Google account settings. You can manage backups and remove the app's backup data from your Google account at any time.

Calendar events and reminders created with help from SFCE Learning app remain in your Calendar app or in your device's scheduled notifications until you edit, dismiss, or delete them.

Children's Privacy

SFCE Learning app is a professional study tool for developers preparing for a certification exam. The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's privacy practices change. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
